Al Qaeda Turned Towards India In ISKP Manner

Pakistan Army's Terror Spin in South East Asia

Al Qaeda, on May 05,  had released a statement, calling out Muslims and Muslim Scholars, to come together to wage Jihad against India on CAA(Citizenship Amendment Act). This, having the theme, tone, and tenor of Pakistan Army and Imran Khan’s pitch against India, since beginning of this year, comes as no surprise.

To add to this seemingly out of the blue context, whilst the world community is fighting COVID-19 pandemic, this statement has surfaced just two days after the anniversary of the killing of founder of Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, on Pakistani soil. There is no qualm on the correctness of the speculation, that Osama Bin Laden was being kept there under watchful eyes of Pakistan Army, while his organization was being stripped of its operatives, to be used later against India.

It will be interesting to understand, how in last decade the Pakistan Army has used these available assets of Al Qaeda and the Taliban-ISKP, to ferment trouble in Afghanistan, South East Asia and provide mercenary support in Yemen and against its own Balochis, Sindhis, Pashtuns and against the occupied residents of Kashmir.

Pakistan’s use of Al Qaeda in India

As part of its Radicalization Drive in South East Asia

The earlier CIA Director and the US defense secretary Leon Panetta had maintained  about the support network Pakistan Army had always provided to Al Qaeda. Panetta, in a most understated tone, said that some “lower rank” officers in the military knew where Bin Laden was hiding. The defense secretary said “Well, you know, these situations sometimes, the leadership within Pakistan is obviously not aware of certain things(pun) and yet people lower down in the military establishment find it very well, they’ve been aware of it.

Lt. Gen. Asad Durrani, a former Pakistan Army ISI chief, said it was “probable” that the country’s main military intelligence organization, known as the ISI, knew of bin Laden’s whereabouts.

This very well implied, what was the relationship of Al Qaeda with Pakistan Army. Since last decade, Pakistan Army has owned assets of Al Qaeda, sources claiming, the next chief Al Zawahiri was a puppet in hands of the Pakistanis. After amalgamating  Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in ISPK in 2016 and claiming those assets, Pakistan Army has been trying to supply them to fight Americans in Afghanistan (filling up ranks of Taliban) , Iraq and systematically diverting them to support the Radical Islam theme to the South East Asian countries, majorly India.

Al Qaeda terrorist Mohammad Kallimuddin Muzahiri, an active terrorist of the banned Al-Qaeda group, was named in an FIR dated January 25, 2016, and later in September 2019, The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Jharkhand Police arrested him from Jharkhand. He had influenced youths into jihad, sending them to terror training camps in foreign countries, including Pakistan and had widely traveled to Saudi Arabia, Africa, Bangladesh, Asansol, Kolkata, Gujarat, Mumbai, and Uttar Pradesh in connection with terror activities, at the behest of the ISI of Pakistan Army.

In July 2019, Al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri, who took over the reins of al Qaeda after the death of Osama bin Laden, said, “I am of the view that the Mujahideen (armed terrorists) in Kashmir- at this stage at least- should focus with single mind on inflicting unrelenting blows on the Indian Army and government so as to bleed the Indian economy and make India suffer sustained losses in manpower and equipment.”

It was shown in the video, Al Qaeda supporting the terrorist Zakir Musa, who had earlier been named the head of Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind On 25 December 2017, declaring allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) Province, in Kashmir, and to ally with or give allegiance to ISIL and wage Jihad in Kashmir against the Indian state.

Desperate Pakistan abusing Koranic Facts

Cheating the devotion of Muslims

Jihad, as mentioned in Chapter 2, verse 190: “Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors.”  This portion of the Koran was written in about 606 C.E. when the Prophet Muhammad and his followers were under attack in the city of Medinah. It actually refers to a defensive war. “You fight back. You go as far as it takes to stop the aggression but you do not go beyond that.

While CAA has no concerns with Indian Muslims or Muslims anywhere in the world, however still jihad is being associated with anything which is contrary to interests of Pakistan, as Pakistan sees in that issue an opportunity to mobilize Muslims of India.

It is especially an evil manner of stabbing the very spirit of Islam, wherein, for a lie and falsity, God is being invoked for political gains. Jihad as a tool, to encroach territory and wealth of a neighbor has been a modus operandi in the Medieval Levant and Central Asian Khanates, mostly by the Turkik-Mongol conqurers. They cared little for Koran except as a tool, for converting the local population and mobilizing feverish enthusiasm for the idea of Jihad.

Hence like the Pakistani Army, they only had the interest to accumulate fighting men, in name of Jihad, for political gains, and that is what is the “medieval barbaric” state policy of Pakistan. Who pays the cost, every common Muslim, who has every right to live a pure, pious, and peaceful life in line with principles of Islam and humankind.

Pakistan promoting Al Qaeda as a valid Islamic Authority

Pakistan since last decade has run out of argument to fuel fire in the Indian subcontinent and Kashmir. Hence, to gain cognizance, it has resorted to achieve and garner religious authority. For that, it has sought to leverage the tagline of ISIS, ISKP, Taliban, and Al Qaeda.

At the fall years of the Soviet Afghanistan war, Pakistan insisted on instituting of extremist Salafist militant organization founded in 1988 under Osama bin Laden, Abdullah Azzam, and several other Arab volunteers. Despite this not a requirement, since Soviet withdrawal was imminent, Pakistan went ahead, as it had plans for using it in its nefarious designs to sabotage Kashmir, and given the Arab conscripts, plead for Arab money to pour in.

However, Pakistani dreams had no takers in an independent Afghanistan and in the ranks of Al Qaeda. Realizing this and given the Pakistan Army’s closeness to the Taliban it was ensured that the organization was stitched to them. This way, Pakistan ensured there is no semblance of a sane neighbor in Afghanistan, but a controllable guerilla force. Hence Pakistan Army was able to pit various groups against each other, using the religious tenor of Taliban-Al Qaeda, and hence to keep Afghanistan on fire.

While for two decades Afghanistan was on fire, due to Pakistan’s doings, now the intent is to replicate the same in India, whilst it is of not their concerns, their own citizens the common Pakistani,  is sentenced to a deeper pit of Islamic Radicalization and peril.

There has been increasing speculations of Pakistani Army’s close links to Radical Islamic organizations other than Terrorist organizations like ISKP and Al Qaeda, in the recent couple of years. On December 27, Major General Asif Ghafoor, the then head of  ISPR, received a hero’s welcome when he visited the notorious Jamia Rashidia madrassa in the southern port city of Karachi, which has ties with the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and was once linked to the 2002 abduction and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

Also, photos posted on Twitter showed him being mobbed and embraced by students of the seminary that was founded by late Mufti Mohammad Rashid, also the founder of Al Rashid Trust that has been designated a terrorist entity by the UN and the US.

Pakistani Officers, keep intimacy with such radical Islamic entities. Example being officers of the Pakistan Rangers met Aurangzeb Farooqi, chief of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), a front for the notorious Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) that has killed hundreds of members of Pakistan’s Shia minority, in December 2019.

Since 2019, the senior ASWJ leader has been spotted meeting with senior army officers in North Waziristan, as well as officers of the Frontier Corps meeting Ramzan Mengal, a leader of the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), designated a terror organisation by the US and the UN.

These are the indicators, of courting of Radical Islamic base by Pakistan Army, to usher the spread of Militant Islamic teaching, by their modules in India and South East Asia. Al Qaeda and ISPK calling for arms against India will be used as the religious legality, to give false credence to the invalidity of Jihad propaganda.

Pakistan is trying to marginalize the Muslim population from the rest of India. They intend to use the CAA issue, to create a sense of false alienation and victimization to achieve mass mobilization of Muslims. While CAA has no implication to either Pakistan or Kashmir, they feel this mobilization can be used in the future, to foster sectarian issues in India.
