Supporters of Tehreek-i-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah, along with groups like Tehreek-i-Khatm-i-Nabuwwat and the Sunni Tehreek Pakistan, have been blocking the Islamabad Expressway and Murree Road that connect the capital with its only airport and the garrison city of Rawalpindi. The  sit-in is demanding  the removal of law minister Zahid Hamid over a change in the country's electoral laws under which a Muslim candidate has to sign a declaration (Khatm-i-Nabuwwat or finality of the Prophethood) in which the finality of the Prophethood is affirmed.  Further leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah said that prolonged Faizabad sit-in indicates that the government has lost its writ in the country. Same time Pakistan Interior minister says they have intelligence reports that some elements among the protesters want the government to take action so they can further their hidden agenda.

As tremors are felt almost on a daily basis in Pakistan it is certain that the simmering volcano – Pakistan, will explode any time soon. From a series of murders and disappearances in Baluchistan to suicide bombings in Quetta, from the corrupt PM’s Panama affair to the fear of martial law, from the paralyzed government and the false promises under CPEC umbrella to the unemployed youth, from every terror activity around the world finding its trace in Pakistan to the helpless common man; Pakistani leaders have many such feathers to their cap. As is known every branch of Pakistan government (executive, legislative, judiciary) is plagued by self styled Pakistani generals who have applied the Divide & Conquer strategy in all possible quarters to gain control of Pakistan. They talk of tackling terrorism at home turf, but what about their lamentable professional ethics? From an army which believes in beheading, mutilating, maiming PoW and also its own people (in Baluchistan) little can be expected. The genocide committed by Pakistan Army in Bangladesh in 1971 clearly explains this perilous mindset. According to various sources three million people were killed. Yaqoob Khan Bangash, noted Pakistani historian described the actions of the Pakistani Army as a "rampage" .  The fact that this military operation was code-named Operation Search Light is self explanatory in the definition and the scope of the operation which was well defined and the target killings and tortures of all degree and dimensions were pre-planned. According to Asia Times, at a meeting of the military top brass, Yahya Khan declared, "Kill three millions of them , the rest will eat of our hands". Accordingly, the Pakistani Army launched Operation Searchlight to crush Bengali resistance in which Bengali members of military services were disarmed and killed, students and the intelligentsia liquidated and able bodied Bengali males just picked up and gunned down.  Systematic execution of the leading Bengali intellectuals, professors, journalists, doctors, artists, engineers and writers took place and an estimated 991 teachers, 13 journalists, 49 physicians, 42 lawyers, and 16 writers, artists and engineers were killed. The figure for the mass rapes during the nine-month long conflict is between 200,000 and 400,000. A fatwa in Pakistan declared that the Bengali 'freedom fighters' were Hindus and that their women could be taken as the 'booty of war'. Bengali women were kept as sex-slaves inside the Pakistani Army's camps, and many became pregnant and were mercilessly aborted.

Intelligence reports which suggest that Pakistan Army has stage managed the seize of Islamabad to oust the Law Minister or is behind the recent killings in Kech, Baluchistan needs no further argument.
