Pak COAS Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed displeasure over non-implementation of the Nation Action Plan and called for strict punishments for law breakers. According to details, in a meeting of Sindh apex committee, the army chief said that the National Action Plan should be implemented in letter and spirit. The army chief was also displeased at the issue of prisoners escaping from Karachi jail. "Those who were involved in the escape of prisoners should be given strict punishments," he said. "Sustainable peace can only be maintained through the writ of the state," he said. DG Rangers had briefed the participants of the meeting regarding the security situation of the city. The army chief said that in order to maintain law and order, Pakistan Army would help state institutions.

This is the first time Army Chief has given a veiled warning to Pak Government to extend the gains made by Pak Army in Radd ul Fasad. Ironically Pak Army has used Radd ul Fasad to eliminate anti Army sentiments which have now started surfacing post failure of Gen Raheel Sharif to steer Islamic NATO out of narrow sectarian out look. There is a huge debate over army's role in bungling all National and International issues of Pakistan.
